Your cumulative grade point average is the average of your grades. Most institutions of higher education use a 4-point scale for course
grades. Points are assigned as follows:
A = 4.0 points
B = 3.0 points
C = 2.0 points
D = 1.0 points
Step 1: multiply the number of credit hours for by the point value of
the grade earned for that course.
Step 2: add the numbers obtained in Step 1.
Step 3: add up the total number of credit hours for all courses
Step 4: divide the number obtained in Step 2 by the number obtained in
Step 3 for your GPA
